The Massachusetts Medical Society re-elected Francis P. MacMillan Jr., MD, as its vice speaker of the house of delegates, Wicked Local reports.
Here's what you should know.
1. This is Dr. MacMillan's third consecutive term as vice speaker. He will assist in managing the business of the organization's policy-making body.
2. Dr. MacMillan is the owner and president of Haverhill, Mass.-based Merrimack Valley Gastroenterology.
3. Dr. MacMillan has been a Massachusetts Medical Society member since 1991. He served on the house of delegates since 2005.
