La Peer Physicians Use Incisionless Surgery to Treat Acid Reflux

The gastroenterologists at La Peer Health Systems in Beverly Hills, Calif., are now using Transoral Incisionless Surgery to treat chronic gastroesophageal acid reflux disease.
The TIF approach treats the root cause of GERD; an endoscope is used to place the EsophyX device into the esophagus to prevent stomach acid from damaging the lining.

Clinical studies showed 81 to 90 percent of patients were relieved of symptoms for up to two years.
