The GI Quality Improvement Consortium is transitioning the GIQuIC registry to a new technical platform.
Here's what you should know:
1. The new platform will "better support participants and their teams."
2. The registry will be hosted by FIGmd. FIGmd set a target date of Oct. 2 for the transition.
3. GIQuIC Board of Directors President Glenn Eisen, MD, said in a release, "With the exponential growth in cases reported through the GIQuIC registry, this move to a platform powered by FIGmd creates opportunities for new features and functionality, including an online calculator to estimate the financial impact that the Merit-based Incentive Payment System will have on a gastroenterologist's reimbursement."
4. The transition will take place automatically. Vendors and participants have to take no action in relation to the move.
