GI Windows will debut its Incision-less Anastomosis System at Digestive Disease Week 2016, which takes place from May 21 to 24 in San Diego.

Here are three highlights:

1. The Incision-less Anastomosis System facilitates a non-surgical procedure that treats Type 2 diabetes in obese patients.

2. Christopher C. Thompson, MD, director of developmental endoscopy at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, is the founder of GI Windows.

3. GI Windows is a West Bridgewater, Mass.-based clinical-stage medical device company that develops non-surgical procedures for Type 2 diabetes and other metabolic diseases.
