GI physician leader to know: Dr. Robert Sable of Riverdale Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases

Robert Sable, MD, is a co-founder of Riverdale Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases in New York. He also serves as co-medical director of Advanced Endoscopy Center and is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, both based in New York. He is on the staff at Montefiore Medical Center, St. Barnabas Hospital and Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in New York. He has also previously served as the medical staff president of Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Sable is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty boards of gastroenterology and geriatrics. His clinical interests include acid reflux disease, constipation, hepatitis C and irritable bowel syndrome.

Dr. Sable earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the New York Medical College.
