Leyla Ghazi, MD, is a practicing gastroenterologist at University of Maryland Medical Center and an assistant professor of medicine-gastroenterology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, both located in Baltimore. She is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
Dr. Ghazi's clinical interests include endoscopic ultrasound, inflammatory bowel disease and women's health in GI. Her research interests center on combined role of imaging and anti-TNF therapy for the treatment of perianal Crohn's disease as well as women's health and pregnancy concerns in inflammatory bowel disease. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications, including Practical Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. He has also contributed to chapters in books, such as "Advanced Therapy in IBD."
Dr. Ghazi earned her medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and her GI fellowship at University of Maryland Medical Center and Baltimore VA Medical Center.
