GI physician leader to know: Dr. Larry Miller of NorthShore-LIJ Department of Medicine

Larry Miller, MD, is chief of the division of gastroenterology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y., and at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y. He is also a professor at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine in Hempstead, N.Y.

Dr. Miller's hospital affiliations also include Forest Hills (N.Y.) Hospital, Franklin Hospital in Valley Stream, N.Y., and Glen Cove (N.Y.) Hospital. He is also a part of Northwell Health Physician Partners, a multispecialty group practice employed by Northwell Health in New York. His clinical interests include gastroesophageal reflux disease, constipation, hepatitis C and irritable bowel syndrome.

Dr. Miller completed his medical degree at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University and his residency at Evanston (Ill.) Hospital. He has completed fellowships at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass., Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., National Institute of Health and the since-dissolved Midwest Nutrition, Education & Research Foundation.
