Farshid Sam Rahbar, MD, is the founder and medical director of Los Angeles Integrative Gastroenterology & Nutrition. He also provides care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he teaches GI residents and fellows. He has previously served as chief of gastroenterology at Century City Hospital in Los Angeles.
Dr. Rahbar is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition. He founded Los Angeles Integrative Gastroenterology & Nutrition in 2009, where he has won several awards, such as the Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award. He has presented at a number of conferences in the United States and around the world. He is also certified by the American Board of Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine.
Dr. Rahbar earned his medical degree at University of Tehran in Iran. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. He has completed fellowships in gastroenterology and nutrition at Loma Linda (Calif.) University Medical Center and Veterans Administration Hospital in Loma Linda.
