Howard Hack, MD, is a gastroenterologist practicing at Grand Forks, N.D.-based Altru Health System. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Medical Association. He is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Hack previously served as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of medicine and admissions committee member at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, Calif. He also served as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. His clinical interests include gastroesophageal reflux disease, constipation, hepatitis C and irritable bowel syndrome. His work on H. pylori infection and cost effectiveness research was published in The Lancet.
Dr. Hack earned his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis. He completed his residency at Barnes Hospital in St Louis and his GI fellowship at Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine.
