Klaus Mergener, MD, is a gastroenterologist and partner at Tacoma, Wash.-based Digestive Health Specialists.
He is the clinical medical director of gastroenterology at MultiCare Health System, also in Tacoma.
Dr. Mergener earned his medical degree from Heidelberg University in Germany. He completed a residency, internship and fellowship at Durham, N.C.-based Duke University.
He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He served as a representative of the ASGE to the American Medical Association.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Mergener enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and reading.
