Erik Kerekes, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Long Beach (Calif.) Gastroenterology Associates.
Dr. Kerekes specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of biliary tract disorders.
His career began after he earned his medical degree from Zapopan, Mexico-based Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. He completed an internship at the New York Medical Center before completing his residency and fellowship at Loma Linda (Calif.) University Medical Center.
Dr. Kerekes is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. He also is the section chief of the gastroenterology department at the Long Beach (Calif.) Memorial Medical Center, where he serves on the board of trustees.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Kerekes enjoys movies, beach living, sports and traveling.
