Hie-Won L. Hann, MD, is a gastroenterologist and director of the Liver Disease Prevention Center at the division of gastroenterology and hepatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Hann treats achalasia, alcoholic hepatitis, alcohol-induced liver disease, autoimmune heaptitis, celiac disease, cholangitis, cirrhosis, diverticular disease, drug-induced hepatitis, fatty liver disease, gastritis, gastroparesis, irritable bowel syndrome, liver cancer and more. She performs capsule endoscopy, ultrasounds and esophageal manometry.
Dr. Hann is the recipient of several awards, including the Korean Government's Fellow Koreans Who Made The Nation Proud Award and the Hepatitis B Foundation's Distinguished Leadership Award.
Dr. Hann earned her medical degree from Seoul National University Medical School in South Korea and completed her residency at the Children's Hospital of Boston. She also completed a fellowship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
