The new document addresses:
• Hospital credentialing, HIPAA certification and the general code of conduct for vendors in an endoscopy suite
• Types and functions of industry representatives
• Level of training and expertise needed to support physicians and staff using industry products
• Importance of awareness for FDA status on all products
• Need for industry representatives to satisfactorily solve all issues
