The American Gastroenterological Association's Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics has organized a drug development conference, to take place Oct. 27 to Oct. 28.
Here's what you need to know:
1. The conference will host 100 participants, including researchers, patient advocacy groups and FDA representatives for discussions on drug development for upper GI disorders.
2. AGA's goals for the conference include increasing knowledge of clinical, regulatory and scientific challenges in drug development and facilitating therapeutic and diagnostic intervention partnerships.
3. Sessions at the conference focus on topics like gastroesophageal reflux disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, gastroparesis and functional dyspepsia.
