4 GI physicians in the headlines — September 9, 2016

Here are four gastroenterologists in the news this past week.

Stephen Amann, MD — with nurse navigator Cindy McDaniel and Digestive Health Specialists clinical research coordinator Marsha Williams — was awarded a SCOPY from the American College of Gastroenterology for contributions to the Blue Tie Affair and the Run for your Buns 5K.

Bruce Waldholtz, MD, visited the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va., to discuss the importance of colorectal cancer screening, according to the ABC affiliate 13NewsNow.

Mark Molos, MD, spoke with Kansas City Star about the "PillCam Colon 2," an ingestible capsule with a small camera inside. This capsule device is used for colorectal cancer screenings, in lieu of traditional colonoscopy.

KT Park, MD, gave nutrition advice to Men's Journal readers, focusing on the probiotics trend.
