Phoenix-based The Orthopedic Surgery Center of Arizona's David Bailie, MD, became the chief medical officer and chairman of the Integrated Endoscopy surgeon advisory board.
Dr. Bailie is an AmSurg partner with more than 27 years of experience in orthopedic surgery. In his new role, he will help Integrated Endoscopy move forward with medical device innovation in the arthroscopic surgery market. Here are five key notes on Dr. Bailie:
1. He has been a consultant or team physician for the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB and U.S. Olympic Women's Gymnastics Team.
2. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bailie co-authored more than 30 clinical articles. He also gives lectures at conferences, hospitals and schools
3. Dr. Bailie earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
4. Dr. Bailie previously served as chairman of orthopedic surgery at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare Shea Hospital and has experience on the board of directors for The Orthopedic Surgical Center of Arizona.
5. Throughout his career, Dr. Bailie has worked with several companies including Zimmer Biomet and Magellan Health.
