Here are seven updates on ASC management companies.
Regent Surgical Health is developing the first ambulatory surgery center in the Northwest region dedicated specifically to performing total joint replacements and treating spine disorders. The ASC is a joint venture between Regent and Beaverton, Ore.-based West End Surgical ASC's physician affiliates.
During the second quarter, AmSurg net revenues hit $758.5 million, an 18 percent increase from $642 million during the second quarter last year.
Nobilis Health entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Arizona Vein & Vascular Center. The acquisition includes Arizona Vein & Vascular Center as well as its four surgery centers operating as The Arizona Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery. The centers provide vascular care, radiology, podiatry and general surgery.
Surgical Care Affiliates' net cash provided by operating activities was $77.4 million during the second quarter, down 0.9 percent from $78.1 million for the second quarter of 2015.
New York City-based East Side Endoscopy, a Physicians Endoscopy ASC, added pain management services to its offerings. North American Partners in Anesthesia is collaborating with the ASC for this new service line. Daniel Hanono, MD, director of NAPA-affiliated Comprehensive Pain & Wellness Center in New York City, will provide pain management treatments at the ASC.
During the second quarter, Tenet Healthcare's uncompensated care cost totaled $1.201 billion.
Hospital Corporation of America shares traded at $75.84 per share, down 1.6 percent, during the week of Aug. 1 to Aug. 5.
