AmSurg expects revenue to reach $650.2M in Q3, SCA acquires interest in Advanced Surgical Hospital & more — 5 key notes on ASC companies

Here are five updates on ASC companies.

AmSurg offered $7.8 million to acquire TeamHealth, but TeamHealth rejected the offer. AmSurg originally proposed $71.47 per TeamHealth share. TeamHealth President and CEO Michael Snow said AmSurg's proposal undervalued the company.

AmSurg expects its third quarter revenues to reach $650.2 million compared to $502.4 million for the same quarter the year prior. 

SurgCenter Development broke ground on a new $1.1 million surgery center with Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville in Ohio. The facility is 5,000 square feet and will focus on orthopedics.

Surgical Care Affiliates acquired an interest in Washington, Pa.-based Advanced Surgical Hospital.  SCA partnered with members of Advanced Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation and will provide management support services to the hospital's leadership team.

Hospital Corporation of America shares traded at $68 per share, down nearly 6.8 percent, during the week of Oct. 19 to Oct. 23.
