Outpatient Surgery Center of Hilton Head sells for $8M
After being listed for sale Oct. 17, the Outpatient Surgery Center of Hilton Head sold for $8 million. The center was built in 2004 and is 19,729 square feet. The center has two operation rooms, two procedure rooms and two endoscopy suites. It sold to a private investor.

Clinton, Trump talk Medicare plans during 3rd presidential debate
During Wednesday night's third presidential debate, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump discussed their plans for Medicare and healthcare reform. Ms. Clinton said she planned to keep both Medicare and Social Security viable through "more resources and smarter decisions." To obtain resources for these programs, the Democratic candidate plans to have the wealthy and corporations "pay their fair share." Mr. Trump said he plans to revamp Medicare and Social Security by growing the economy, which Mr. Trump said will "grow at a record rate."

MEDNAX acquires Central New York Anesthesia Group
MEDNAX acquired Syracuse-based Central New York Anesthesia Group, a private physician group practice. MEDNAX will add CNY Anesthesia to its offerings in its New York market. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cross Keys Capital serves as financial advisor to Anesthesia Associates of Cincinnati in sale to TeamHealth
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Cross Keys Capital served as the financial advisor to Anesthesia Associates of Cincinnati and Pain Management Associates in its sale to TeamHealth. Cross Keys' Managing Director Bill Britton and Vice President Marjorie Chang led the transaction between the two companies.

Commission reviews Athens-Limestone Hospital's plans for $30M surgery center
Earlier this week, Athens Planning Commission reviewed Athens-Limestone Hospital plans for a surgery center in Alabama. The surgery center is equipped with six operating rooms. The 70,000-square-foot center costs $30 million.

CareCredit expands locations, scope of coverage
CareCredit expanded to new locations and healthcare sectors. CareCredit was established nearly 30 years ago initially for dental implant technology and has grown to include many other services. The card can help patients pay for higher deductibles and increasing out-of-pocket costs while allowing practices to collect their payment at the time of treatment.

Anesthesia Business Consultants launches MACRA guidance platform
Anesthesia Business Consultants is slated to unveil its "MACRA Made Easy Platform" at the end of the month. The "MACRA Made Easy Platform" helps anesthesia practices prepare for the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act as part of CMS' Quality Payment Program.
