The Joint Commission awards 3 John M. Eisenberg Safety and Quality Awards
The Joint Commission along with the National Quality Forum named three recipients of its annual John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards. Veterans Health Administration Deputy Under Secretary Carolyn Clancy, MD; Boston Children's Hospital's I-Pass Study Group; and Wilmington, Del.-based Christiana Care Health System were all recognized.

Centers for Gastroenterology plans to relocate
Centers for Gastroenterology in Greeley, Colo., signed an agreement to move its medical office. The center plans to relocate to a 4,000-square-foot building also in Greeley.

Ambulatory Surgery Center of Manhattan names Dr. David Levine medical director
The Ambulatory Surgery Center of Manhattan named David S. Levine, MD, medical director. New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery will open the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Manhattan in July.

Delaware health system plans surgery center
Lewes, Del.-based Beebe Healthcare is planning to open a specialty surgery center in Rehoboth, Del. The surgery center will be part of a $180 million expansion that'll see the health system open a freestanding emergency department and a cancer center in Tunnell, Conn., the surgery center in Rehoboth and a full-service satellite facility in Millville, Conn.
