There have been a substantial number of data breaches as of May 23, according to 24/7 Wall Street.
Here are four notes:
1. Across all industries, there have been 676 data breaches and 10.2 million exposed records so far this year.
2. Healthcare accounts for 21.3 percent of these breaches.
3. There haven been more than 1.9 million exposed healthcare records in 2017 so far.
4. Healthcare follows business in terms of the most breaches. The business sector comprises 56.8 percent of total incidents.
