Westmoreland ASC receives $400k for orthopedics: 5 things to know

Westmoreland (N.Y.) Ambulatory Surgery Center received money for an ASC project for orthopedics, according to a WIBX report.

Here are five key notes:

1. Westmoreland ASC will receive $400,000 from the Empire State Development for orthopedics. The Empire State Development approved more than $100 million in funding for 23 state projects.

2. Joint Venture Partners opened earlier this year, which will be affiliated with Oneida Healthcare.

3. The 18,407-square-foot surgery center is expected to cost $6.3 million and include four operating rooms and two procedure rooms.

4. The surgery center is estimated to bring $1.76 million in salaries and benefits within a year.

5. The surgery center has AAAHC accreditation and will focus on orthopedic surgery.
