Virtua's $1B medical campus with ASC one step closer to CON approval: 4 points

New Jersey State Health Planning Board voted to approve Evesham Township, N.J.-based Virtua's plans for a medical campus and hospital in Holly, N.J., according to Burlington County Times.

Here are four points:

1. Virtua's proposed hospital would cost $527 million. The medical campus has a $1 billion estimated cost.

2. The campus will house an ASC, medical offices, a rehabilitation facility, a helipad, parking garages, residential hospice and assisted-living centers.

3. State Department of Health Commissioner Cathleen D. Bennett will make the final decision regarding the proposal.

4. A Virtua spokesperson said in a statement, "Virtua will work with the residents and surrounding communities to be a good neighbor during the planning for this project and for years to come, just as we did when planning the Virtua Voorhees replacement hospital in Camden County."
