Surgery Partners strikes $760M deal to acquire National Surgical Healthcare; HCA shares jump 1.3% & more — 5 ASC notes

Tenet Healthcare had $572 million in cash and cash equivalents in the first quarter of fiscal year 2017, less than $716 million in the same period of 2016.

Envision Healthcare's ambulatory services had adjusted EBITDA of $62.2 million for the first quarter fiscal year 2017.

Surgery Partners acquired surgical facilities owner and operator National Surgical Healthcare from Irving Place Capital in a nearly $760 million deal.

During the past couple months, SurgCenter Development completed a series of joint ventures including teaming up with physician investors to open a new surgery center in Zeeland, Mich.

Hospital Corporation of America shares rallied 1.3 percent during the week of May 8 to May 12, trading at $84.61 per share.
