Orlando Health's $42M project may have ASC in future plans: 4 things to know

Orlando Healthcare is undertaking a big project by building a new $42 million complex in Lake Mary, Fla., according to Orlando Sentinel.

Here are four things to know:

1. Karen Frenier, president of Longwood, Fla.-based South Seminole Hospital, said the health system's future plans may include an ASC and other "health and wellness concepts."

2. The medical complex will include a freestanding emergency department and medical pavilion.

3. Orlando Health plans to open the $42 million complex in late fall 2017.

4. The project aims to boost employment in the area.
