OMNI Surgery Center will officially open in South Utica, N.Y., next week, according to a Business Journal News Network report.
Here are five key notes:
1. The surgery center focuses on interventional pain management and will include minimally invasive procedures to alleviate chronic low back pain and migraines.
2. The facility cost $6 million, funded by a private investment.
3. The surgery center has already seen 100 patients and will have the formal opening, and ribbon cutting, on Jan. 28.
4. The surgery center has 14 employees currently and plans to hire six more nursing, maintenance and office staff positions. Continued staff growth is expected.
5. Hayner Hoyt Construction Company built the facility at a site formerly home to the Leather Stocking Sportsplex.
