Wilmington, Del.-based Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children opened a new pediatric office, which includes an ambulatory surgery center, according to Philadelphia Business Journal.
Here are four things to know:
1. The project totals $45 million.
2. The 63,500-square-foot facility will house an ASC as well as 29 specialty clinic exam rooms and on-site imaging.
3. The ASC will feature two operating rooms, 10 prep and recovery rooms, a therapy gym, indoor therapeutic pool and a playground.
4. The surgery center is scheduled to start seeing patients in October and will offer outpatient pediatric care in 25 specialties, including orthopedic, neurology, allergy and immunology, ophthalmology, behavioral health, respiratory care and heart care.
