Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina broke ground on a pediatric ambulatory campus in Charleston, according to Palmetto Business Daily.
Here are four takeaways:
1. MUSC Children's Health Ambulatory Campus costs $50 million and will open in 2019.
2. MUSC's facility will include a pediatric ASC and multispecialty office space.
3. The office space will house an urgent care clinic and imaging services.
4. The city of Charleston donated the land for the ASC, according to MUSC Board of Trustees Chairman Donald Johnson
"On behalf of the board of trustees, we are honored to serve the needs of infants, toddlers and adolescents," Mr. Johnson said. "This is an important responsibility, one that our physicians, emergency specialists, nurses and staff are excited to undertake in this area."
