The Bascom Palmer Eye Institutes opened a new location in Naples, Fla., with the facility's ambulatory surgery center expected to open on the building's second floor early next year.
New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai is a joint venture partner in two new ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in the New York metropolitan region: Empire State Ambulatory Surgery Center, located in the Bronx, and North Queens Surgical Center, located in Queens. The new centers, each equipped with four state-of-the-art operating rooms, are designed to provide surgical patients an array of services in one convenient location. Current services include ophthalmology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, and podiatry. However, the centers are designated as multispecialty, and can accommodate additional surgical services.
