The FDA listed 11 new drugs on its watch list in December 2016 because of the serious medical risk they post.
Here's are the drugs and their potential risks:
- Contrave can cause loss of consciousness
- Coumadin, Eliquis, Pradaxa, Savaysa and Xarelto can cause menorrhagia
- Depo-Medrol, Depo-Provera and Depo-Provera CI can cause medication errors
- Diabeta tablets can cause skin reactions
- Imbruvica can cause pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia
- Nitropress injection can cause carboxyhemoglobinemia
- Northera capsules can cause cerebrovascular accident
- Nucala for injection can cause anaphylaxis
- Opsumit can cause fluid overload
- Otezla can cause diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
- There are use errors associated with Tanzeum pens
