C. David Geier, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and the director of sports medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Geier created the MUSC sports medicine program in 2005.
He is head team physician for the Charleston Battery soccer team and chief tournament physician for the Family Circle Cup women's professional tennis tournament. Dr. Geier also serves as an orthopedic consultant for the Eagles USA Rugby national team and the US Women's Soccer team.
Dr. Geier earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his residency at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tenn. He conducted a fellowship in sports medicine at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Geier will be speaking at the 11th Annual Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Management-Driven ASC Conference held from June 13 to 15.
