President Donald Trump said the administration plans to release its healthcare plan next month during a White House News conference, CNBC reports.
Here are four points:
1. President Trump said legislators will work on launching a healthcare plan before tackling tax reform for "statutory and budgetary reasons."
2. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has an earlier time frame in mind, saying the GOP will likely roll out an alternative healthcare bill when Congress' recess ends next week.
3. If the GOP pursues a reconciliation process, they will need 50 Senate votes, as opposed to 60, to pass the health bill.
4. While this process allows legislators to more readily pass the bill, it does not allow the GOP to fully replace the ACA.
