National Medical Billing Services Advocates for ASC Quality & Access Act of 2013

National Medical Billing Services, a national healthcare revenue cycle management company that specializes in servicing ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and their affiliated surgeons, has recently announced its support of the Ambulatory Surgical Center Quality and Access Act of 2013, which would narrow the payment gap between ASCs and hospital outpatient departments.

National Medical Billing Services has recently advocated on behalf of ASCs during two Ambulatory Surgery Center Association Capitol Fly-Ins. During these trips to Washington, D.C., National Medical educated lawmakers on the benefits ASCs offer to the U.S. healthcare system. For example, estimates show that migrating procedures from HOPDs to ASCs would save up to $53.3 billion over the next decade.The company urges others to participate in the upcoming ASCA September Fly-In.
