CMS and the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management are teaming up to offer webinars and in-person training for revenue cycle personnel to prepare for ICD-10, according to a report from PhysBizTech.
The webinars started May 15, and will take place every month to discuss the importance of ICD-10, navigating the new code set, timelines for implementation and tools and resources.
The sessions will also help providers and coders understand the importance of ICD-10 for:
• Advancing healthcare and eHealth initiatives
• Capturing advances in medicine and medical technology
• Improving data for quality reporting
• Improving public health research, reporting and surveillance
• Promoting healthcare reform and its goals to lower costs and achieve better care
