North American Partners in Anesthesia and Manhasset, N.Y.,-based North Shore-LIJ Health System announced today that they will be offering a new accredited anesthesiology residency program starting in July 2014 at the Hofstra North Shore – LIJ school of Medicine.
NAPA's chief medical officer and deputy CEO, John F. DiCapua, MD, will chair the program, and division chiefs and anesthesiologists from NAPA will serve as faculty for the residency program.
Clinical activities will occur primarily at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., and Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y. One-month required assignments for regional anesthesiology and pain management will also take place at Franklin Hospital in Valley Stream, N.Y., and at Syosset (N.Y.) Hospital.
